If you’re available tonight from 7 on, there are a number of bits and pieces to be finished off in Park before official opening on Friday evening.

You’ll be more than welcome.

Weeding tonight in Le Chéile Park cancelled

No need for weeders tonight in Le Chéile Park as the dreaded dock leaf was definitely conquered – however temporarily – lsst night in the labyrinth (see pics in later post).
We’ll plant the bog garden when the weather cools down a bit.

Volunteers for tonight’s planting in the park

The entire labyrinth was planted in just over an hour last night by our gang of volunteers – almost 500 ajuga plants. This time next year the plants should all have grown together, smothering the weeds and looking lovely with their little blue flower.

For anyone who can make tonight, just bring a watering can and we’ll get you to water in the plants that were planted last night. If you come at 7.30, a half hour should do the whole planted section.

Planting the Labyrinth in Le Chéíle Park

Last night’s valiant efforts saw almost 500 plants planted right around the paths of the labyrinth in Askamore Le Chéile Park.

Well done and a huge thanks to all concerned.

 

Planting in Le Chéile Park

A reminder that volunteers are needed this Wednesday and Thursday @ 7.30 pm to help plant into the labyrinth surround.

Bring a trowel, something to kneel on and a watering can, and we’ll meet in the park @ 7.30.

Sorry, but children are not insured to come into the park at this time.

Park Volunteers Needed

Would you like to give a hand to finish off the final touches in Le Chéile Park, Askamore?

There is a large number of plants to be planted in the labyrinth in the park, and we would be delighted to get as many people involved as possible.

Planting will take place on Wednesday and Thursday nights, May 22nd and 23rd at 7.30pm. Bring a trowel, a pad to kneel on and a watering can! Plants will be supplied.

As there are strict insurance issues, children will not be allowed in the park at this time.
