Are you available next Thursday 20th March to come to Askamore’s Le Chéile Park between 2 – 3pm?
Askamore is one of 15 Community Development groups around County Wexford which have been working on a Wexford Walking Trails brochure for some time and there’s a professional video of the trail and surrounding area being taken next Thursday for Discover Ireland, Visit Wexford and our own community websites.
Askamore Community Council is trying to get the regular users of the park and the walk to be part of the video. If you and your family or friends are available, you’d be more than welcome to come along and participate.
If you’d like to be in Le Chéile Park, the cameras will be there from 2.30 to 3.
If you’d like to be part of the film of the looped walk, please contact Mary Donohoe on 086 16 33341. This would be between 2 and 2.30.
Wexford Local Development (WLD) who have funded part of the cost of the refurbishment of the new Activity Centre / Meeting Rooms, and the recent 5-year plan for the area undertaken by Askamore Community Council, have invited the council to take part in a promotional video to be shown as part of the National Ploughing Championships, taking place in Heathpark, New Ross next month. (Download NPA Ploughing Championships brochure 2012 here).
Ted and Seán from Highwind Films spent Monday morning last in Askamore, luckily a sunny dry morning, and took lots of stills of various parts of the area, both scenic and projects related to community development over the past number of years.
They also interviewed both Chairman Paddy Byrne and Secretary Mary Donohoe about our recent 5-year plan and our planned projects.
