Well done to all of the people around Askamore who’ve been out picking up litter as part of Wexford Couny Council & An Taisce’s Spring Clean event.

All bags to be brought to the Priest’s house by tomorrow (Monday) evening for collection by Wexford Co Co.
Askamore Community Council members are organising their own areas over the weekend to ensure we have a major spruce-up of our parish
Details of this campaign, organised by Gorey Municipal District, are below. The local Community Council is entering the Askamore village area for this competition, and there will be the usual local April Spring Clean across the whole area on Saturday, April 18th. Gloves etc will be available from the members of Askamore Community Council.
Please join us in helping to make Askamore area a cleaner, safer place.

Wexford County Council have granted us an extension to the usual spring clean-up time.
In order to have the area looking at its best for both the Tidy Towns entry 2013, which will be judged sometime in the near future, and for the July 26th opening of Le Chéile Park, people are asked to make a special effort to ensure all road ditches and verges are free of litter and debris. Filled litter bags are to be left in the back of the priest’s house for collection on Monday, July 22nd.
You can help to make your local community look more beautiful. Why not organise a group of people on your road to go out and pick up anything that shouldn’t be there?

As there were only 8 bags left at collection site it would indicate that a lot of areas have not been done,so take this opportunity to get your area spruced up for the Summer.
