Today, Paddy Wade, set dancing tutor in Askamore every Wednesday night and a number of the set dancing group spent an energetic morning in Ballyellis NS, teaching the various classes The Walls of Limerick.
Classes will resume after our summer break from tonight, Wednesday September 12th in the Activity Centre, 8-10pm, and continue every Wednesday night.
Fun and fitness. €8 nightly or €50 for 7 classes.
New people are welcome to join at any stage, as there are different steps being taught each night.

There’s something for everyone this autumn in Askamore Activity Centre with 2 different types of dance classes and a gentle yoga class beginning in mid-September.
Yoga Classes – Monday nights 7 – 8.15pm
Yoga classes will resume with Siobhan Rice as tutor from Monday, September 17th. Siobhan teaches a gentle yoga which has proven very popular.

Set Dancing Classes – Wednesday nights 8 – 10pm

Zumba Dance Classes – Friday nights 8 – 9pm
Zumba classes will resume on Friday, September 14th with Julie Kinsella. Again a very enjoyable and aerobic class, all details may be had from Claire on 086 389 5662.
Caught in the Briars Set Dance club, who teach set dancing in the activity centre in Askamore every Wednesday night from 8-10pm run a set dance weekend in Kilmuckridge every year and it begins tonight, Friday, May 11th with Deenagh at 9.30.
Tomorrow morning there is a set dance workshop from 10.30 to 1 followed by a Sean Nós workshop at 2.30.
Dancing tomorrow night is to Johnny Reidy 9.30.
The weekend concludes with Jerry McCarthy providing the music on Sunday afternoon from 3 – 6pm.

Wednesday night sees the local set dancing class with Paddy Wade as teacher going from strength to strength. Numbers have gone up to 18 now and last Wednesday saw 2 full sets on the floor – very tiring, but very enjoyable.
New members are coming along all the time, and they are most welcome. at any time.
