Our community art project running at the Community Centre next Wed (4 – 8pm) and Thursday (noon – 6pm) is based on a recycling theme, and is aiming to create artwork to decorate the new park for the official opening next Friday.
First of all, you are more than welcome to come along and participate either Wednesday or Thursday. On Wednesday, we’d be particularly delighted to see older children as there are still places available.
Second, do you have any of the following that you can let us have:
Cardboard
old buckets, pots or pans
old mops / brushes or just handles
old clothes, especially tights
old cushions / pillows
old pillow cases
If you can help with any of the above, contact Stacy please on 087 9922481 before next Tuesday, July 22nd.
Have you started yours yet??
We would like to invite children to create a floral / plant display using any recycled item, such as an old boot, or wellington, or kettle or any such item, and it will be placed on the wall up to Le Chéíle Park to showcase the creativity and imagination of the children of Askamore.
Get cracking and we will accept your items from next Wednesday evening, July 24th @ 7pm.
Help us make the park a special place for everyone.

As part of the annual Féile le Chéile festival 2013, and in the lead-up to this year’s Park opening, we are having a flower display in St. Bridget’s Church, Askamore, from Tuesday July 22nd to Sunday July 28th.
The organising committee would also like to encourage young people in Askamore community to get involved in flowers and recycling with a difference!
