If you feel like doing a bit of weeding in Le Chéile Park tonight, come along from 7pm. Bring a kneeler and a long-bladed screwdriver to defeat the dock leaves!
We’ll be there tomorrow and Thursday also.
The poor weather has significantly slowed the grass growth and the playground area in particular needs extra time for the grass to take.
It is hoped that the park will actually be open earlier than July 26th, but that date is now the official opening date.
We apologise for any disappointment in the delay, but this is our only chance to get things right and have everything safe within the park for our visitors.

Great progress being made in park now weather has dried up.
At the moment the ground in the park field is being prepared – levelled in places for the gym equipment and the meditative space / labyrinth and contoured in others for the children’s playground and picnic area.
The stables are also being tidied up and upgraded and will be available for shelter and other uses.
It’s exciting to see the work has begun and, weather permitting, the park will be ready in late spring / early summer.
