This evening marks the launch of our new free library in Le Chéile Park. This works on the basis of people bringing a book to the little library, and choosing one to take home with you or to read in the park itself.
If you’d like to donate some books to get the little free library up and running, please contact Mary on 086 1633341 for details, or bring them with you to the Park Birthday Party and launch tonight at 7.
Be sure to come along to Le Chéile Park this evening at 7 to celebrate the 1st birthday of Le Chéile Park. There’ll be a cuppa and some birthday cake.
Also there will be the official launch of the new Le Chéíle Library. This library works on the basis of Bring a Book, Take a Book, so you bring a book, suitable for any age or of any genre, and you leave it in the library. You then choose which book you’d like to bring away with you. Or you can read in the park and replace the book when finished.
This is also the launch of Féile le Chéíle 2014, which continues all next week with quizzes, car treasure hunt and of course, the Wedding of the Year on Friday July 25th.
Next Friday will see a new venture in Le Chéile Park, Askamore.
Le Chéile Library will be launched and the wonderful thing is – it’s free.
The system works on a take-a-book, leave-a-book system, so that the library will remain stocked, but will constantly change. The idea is to encourage reading through all ages, adults and children, and to provide a spot where an exchange of books can take place, and also where books may be read.
The new Le Chéile Library will be launched next Friday night, July 18th at the 1st birthday party of Le Chéile Park, and there will be some readings for the smaller children during the party.
Come along – and bring a book – of any type.
Have a look at this American website, which gives you an idea of how it works.
