IFA is a highly professional, well-resourced organisation whose record of delivery is the envy of many other representative bodies at home and in Europe. Central to the success and development of IFA is its structure.

Membership
The IFA has a mass membership with over 87,000 farmers contributing to the Association. A strong united membership provides the strength and financial resources to ensure that IFA delivers for Irish farmers.
Branches
The Association’s 947 Branches are recognised as the fundamental unit of the organisation, playing a vital role in IFA’s countrywide network, reaching into every parish across rural Ireland and maintaining our mass membership.
The local Askamore branch of the IFA has the following officers:
Chairman: James Tomkins
Secretary: Mick Lancaster
Treasurer: Mick Morris
Representative on Farm Family & Social Affairs Committee: Mary Kenny
This committee has farm safety as its main focus this year – THINK SAFETY – FARM SAFELY. Check out the IFA Farm Safety booklet here – Farm Safety PDF
Another very worthwhile project is their LET’S TALK – Dealing with Stress campaign. Download LET’S TALK – Dealing with Stress (PDF) here.
