Jo McLellan and Linda Corlett gave a recent talk in Askamore Activity Centre on health and wellness, and now hope to run an 8-week course in Askamore.

A talk on health & wellbeing will be given by Linda Corlett, SRN BSc MSc and Jo McLellan, BSc tonight in Askamore Activity Centre at 8pm.

This will include the following areas, which should be of interest to all:
The physical & psychological requirements for a longer, healthier, balanced life, and topics to include nutrition, obesity, heart disease, diabetes, looking good, feeling great & making the most of yourself.

Talk on Ferns Tapestry

Stephanie Breen and Aileen Kavanagh gave a very interesting slideshow and talk on the tapestry on Tuesday last.

Stephanie did the art work for the tapestry and both Aileen and her mother Kathy Kavanagh were involved in stitching some of the 25 panels making up this work.

The Visitors’ Centre is open from end of May to end of September from 10a.m. to 6p.m., seven days a week. Guided tours of the adjacent Castle are given daily by enthusiastic OPW staff.
