The music will be playing, the bar will be open and the craic will be mighty so make sure to bring any instruments you have, your best singing voice and shoes for tapping your feet.
We look forward to seeing you there. For further information, please contact Stacey on 087 992 2481
Askamore Community Garden group is holding an information meeting next Monday night, April 23rd at 8.00pm in the activity centre for any budding (or expert!) gardeners in the community who would like to get involved.
The gardening group has been running with great success for the past 2 years, it has grown from strength to strength as can be seen in the raised beds & polytunnel in Le Cheile Park. As well as learning to grown organic fruit and vegetables, it’s a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and to meet new people. The more people who get involved, the better we can make the community garden so why not come along to see what it’s all about and what you can do to help.
Over the next 2 weekends, (21st/22nd and 28th/29th April 2018) Askamore Community will be participating in the “Keep Wexford Beautiful” campaign.
Everyone is asked to take a small area outside of your own houses and pick up any litter. Doing this will help to improve the look of the whole area before judging from Wexford County Council begins.
A 2km stretch of road around the village will also Be entered individually into the “2km clean”.
Gloves, bags and hi-vis vests will be provided for any litter, please contact Jackie Christian on 086-2329865.
All litter should be brought to the designated collection point at the back of Askamore Community Centre where it will be picked up by Wexford County Council on April 30th 2018
