Trad Sessions

Do you play an instrument? Can you sing? Do you enjoy listening to Traditional Irish music in the comfort of a bar with a nice, friendly atmosphere?

If so, then you’re in luck! Askamore will be running monthly Traditional Irish music sessions in The Schoolhouse Bar beginning on Sunday, June 3rd 2018 from 4.00 – 6.00pm.

The music will be playing, the bar will be open and the craic will be mighty so make sure to bring any instruments you have, your best singing voice and shoes for tapping your feet.

We look forward to seeing you there. For further information, please contact Stacey on 087 992 2481

Askamore Community Garden

Askamore Community Garden group is holding an information meeting next Monday night, April 23rd at 8.00pm in the activity centre for any budding (or expert!) gardeners in the community who would like to get involved.

The gardening group has been running with great success for the past 2 years, it has grown from strength to strength as can be seen in the raised beds & polytunnel in Le Cheile Park. As well as learning to grown organic fruit and vegetables, it’s a great opportunity to get out in the fresh air and to meet new people. The more people who get involved, the better we can make the community garden so why not come along to see what it’s all about and what you can do to help.
