Askamore Badminton Club was set up in 1980, with almost 70 members.
Their annual league runs through the winter months. People come from Askamore and surrounding areas to play, and enjoy the chat at the open fire in the Old School House Bar.
Children from the local Ballyellis NS also play their own little league.
At the moment there are 50 members, of which both Tom Buttle and Mary Walsh have been members since 1980.

The club encourages spectators to their competitive matches, and anyone who would like to play is encouraged to join.
