The local text alert system has been changed and a new database is in the process of being compiled.
The main difference is that if you see something suspicious locally, you now contact Gorey Gardaí directly. The number will be on the new community text alert signs going up in the coming days. The Gardaí make the call on what texts go out to those signed up to the new system, and the content of those texts.
If you would like to continue receiving texts on this new system, you need to sign a new consent form which will be available on the night with the following options:
- Text alert and Community events alert – €5
- Text alert, Community events alert, bottle in the fridge, Property log book and security sign for premises – €15
We would encourage all to attend this important meeting.
If you cannot make this meeting, forms may be signed in the Community Office upstairs in Askamore Activity Centre, Monday to Friday, 9 am to noon, or get someone to collect a form for you to return to the centre.
