Terry the Weaver (website here) will give a LIVING WILLOW WORKSHOP on Saturday Feb. 27th, 2016 in Le Chéile Park, Askamore.
The workshop will run from 10 am to 4.30pm.
You will learn how to plant and weave a large willow dome (arbour) from living willow rods.
You will also learn the skills and make a FEDGE (cross between a fence and a hedge )
This is a living willow fence mainly used as a boundary in garden or park.
Both these structures are permanent and will grow and get stronger as the years pass.
The tutor on the day is Terry The Weaver, a tapestry, rug and willow weaver.
Please bring with you on the day, warm clothes, sensible footwear, raincoat and lunch.
A notebook and camera might also be useful.
Please note that this is a hands on, outdoors workshop.
Course cost, including a light lunch: €40.
