U-16s match which should have been played Sunday morning will now be played on Thursday evening in Horeswood.

U-14s match is also changed, and will be played on Friday night.

Training continues mondays u-14s and u-12s, u1-0s and u-8s on Saturday mornings and U-16s Thursday nights.

Well done to U-12s and U-16s  who had wins this week in their matches.

U-14 play hurling this week in Horeswood, and U-16s also hurl against  Horeswood on Sunday at home.

U8s /10s also played a match this week and did very well.

U-14 footballers lost out to Monageer last Thursday. The next U-14 match is on 26th April hurling at home against Horeswood.

The U-16s play Oylegate Glenbrien on Tuesday 17th at 7pm at home.

U-12s went down to Ferns on Tuesday last. They play Ballygarret on  Wednesday in Ballyroebuck in Football.

Kilrush Askamore Coiste na n-Óg Notes

The Sean Walsh Memorial U-16 Hurling Tournament Cup Final will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 19th March at 11am in Ballyroebuck where Askamore will take on St. Pats. All support welcome.
 
Minor hurlers first match of the season will take place in Ballyroebuck on Sunday 25th March against Clonard at 11am. Minor footballers will play Kilmore at home on Sunday 1st April at 11am.
 
U-16 footballers will play Oylegate Glenbrien at home on Tuesday 17th April at 7pm, and the U-16 hurlers will play Monageer Boolavogue on Sunday 22nd April also in Ballyroebuck at 11am.
 
U-14 footballers will play Monageer Boolavogue in Monageer on Thursday 12th April at 7pm, and the u-14 hurlers will play Ballygarrett at home on Thursday 26th April at 7pm.
 
U-12s will play in the ‘A’ Semifinal in Castletown next Friday 16th March, and if successful will play in the final which takes place on the same night. Good luck lads.
 
U-10s and U-8s are back training on Saturday mornings, and are looking forward to taking part in the Carnew St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the 17th March.

Kilrush Askamore Coiste na n-Óg notes

U14s are taking part in the Duffry Rovers indoor hurling tournament on Saturday evenings for the next  few weeks.
 
Well done to to the U12s hurlers on winning their 3 games last Friday in Castletown,. Next games in Castletown will take place on March 9th. 
Hurling training for U10s will resume from next Sat. morning 3rd March at 11am. The U8s and U10s have been invited to take part in the Carnew St. Patricks Day Parade, more information later.
The Inaugural Sean Walshe Memorial U16s Hurling Tournament will take place in March, featuring four teams including Kilrush Askamore. Two semi-finals will take place on Sunday 4th March, the first match taking place at 10.30am. The Final will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 19th March at 11am. 
 The Minor team are back training, and their first match will take place on 11th March.
Most players have registered at this stage, thank you. Any outstanding memberships can be given to Maria O’Rourke or any commitee member. 

 If you have not paid membership and signed your form you are not eligible to play due to insurance concerns. This applies from u8s to u18s

The registration night for Coiste na n-Óg went well on Friday 3rd last.
If you have not registered yet please contact Maria O’Rourke, Sinead O’Hara or any member of the committee.
New members always welcome, please have birth cert when registering.
Training will be starting soon, texts will be sent to parents.
We look forward to another successful season.

Coiste na n-Óg Registration

Registration of Kilrush Askamore Coiste na nOg will take place on Friday 3rd February from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the clubhouse in Ballyroebuck.
Teams: U8, U10, U12, U14, Juvenile (U16) and Minor (U18).
New members welcome, (please bring a copy of birth certificate on the night).
Registration fee is €10 for one child, or €20 for a family.
We hope to see you all on the night.
Training for all teams will be resuming soon. More details later.
Everyone in the junior club would like to wish the senior team all the best in their boxing exploits next Saturday 28th in the Amber Springs against Carnew Emmetts. We have no doubt that you will do the club proud. Up Kilrush/Askamore!

AGM of Kilrush Askamore Coiste na nOg

The AGM of Kilrush Askamore Coiste na nOg took place on Friday 13th in the Clubhouse in Ballyroebuck.
The outgoing committee was returned. Maria O’Rourke  Chairperson, Sinead O’Hara Secretary, Martin Kenny Assistant Secretary, Jacqui Mulholland PRO.
Mentors remain the same. John Kirwan will be the county rep this year.
Thanks to James Owens for his work in this respect over the last years.
We look forward to a successful season.
Registration for all ages will take place in early February, at a date to be decided.
We look forward to your continued support over the coming season.

Kilrush Askamore Coiste na nOg wish all their players, mentors, committee, parents and supporters a very Happy and Successful New Year.

The Coiste na nOg AGM will take place on Friday 13th at 8pm in the Clubhouse at the pitch in Ballyroebuck. We hope to see a good turnout on the night, and look forward to a successful season ahead.
